Vlogging equipment: You want to be the Team Overkill… seriously?

Ok,  I admit, I subscribe to this guy YT channel and every time he goes to a camera store, I drool. He buys and changes expensive lenses / cameras just like eating pizzas (often and too many). Riding a lambo, yacht or heli to make  footages become ordinary things for him and when he announced that he will be hiring for his team overkill, 2000+ people applied… o my.. I guess we all want a taste of luxuries.

That being said, I still agree with  Casey Neistat that gear doesn’t matter. As a creator of course I want the top tier gear and gadgets, but as an aspiring minimalist I have to go back to what I really need at this particular point in time (I try to not chopped an apple with an axe, so to speak).

Vegan Drink Mix: Ginger Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate, warm blanket and a good book is a great way to spend your cold winter evening.

My favorite hot chocolate mix is: Ginger, Peppermint and Marshmallow.

Ingredients:

  • one cup of almond milk
  • 75 gr rice milk chocolate
  •  peeled  fresh ginger
  • a table spoon of organic cocoa powder
  • brown sugar (to taste)
  • vegan marshmallow
  • peppermint candy-cane

See how to make the hot choco and other drinks down below.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Can you smell the holiday season already? Yes, the smell of home baked Christmas cookies or ginger bread, mulled wine…Christmas for me is more about traditions than a religious celebration, growing up as a TCK  I really missed having good family traditions especially during the holidays as different cultures have different holiday traditions.

Now that my kids are TCKs as well, we try to make our own traditions, like using a real Christmas tree that we keep alive since 2 years ago. It would be nice to see the tree grows as the children grow. We also keep the decor minimal, I feel annoyed when I see a Christmas tree so over decorated that  you can not even see the leaves, decorations suppose to accentuate not to cover the whole thing… poor tree.

This year, to keep up with the minimalist theme, we started a new tradition and decided to have a €5 challenge for gifts, so only things that cost €5 to buy or to make for each recipient. We want to enjoy the season more instead of having the “rush”.

Happy Holidays All!
